Yes I am an asshole to start this thread and I have no ground to even spread rumors about Sneap and Slayer. But admit, it SHOULD happen. The metal gods should make it so.

Circumstantial Evidence:

1. Gary Holt has worked with Andy Sneap multiple times

2. Paul Bostaph has worked with Andy Sneap multiple times

3. SLAYER's Manager Sets Record Straight On RICK RUBIN, Record Label

The door is open, come on metal gods let's do this

But Andy did mix horrible bands ( caliban, aild, despised icon, exit ten ) and made them sound actually good.

Why waste Sneap on a band that hasn't done anything good in 20 years?

I don't care if Sneap does a Slayer record or not, but God Hates Us All was fucking good. I'd be more worried about no more Hanneman.

You might not be their biggest fans, but those bands are far from being horrible, and have all had success without Sneap. But he did make them sound good.

Point is that it doesn't matter if I dislike the band and their playing, Sneap is gonna make them sound golden anyways. I absolutely dislike carcass, I think their music is fucking terrible but still dig their last album...

I don't think there's a band I wouldn't like to hear sneapified.

Slayer?
They're pretty much doing what Axl Rose is doing with G'n'R, so i'm personally not very interested in anything they're doing at this point.. it would be pretty cool if sneap worked with them i guess, but does his sound really fit a band like slayer? :p

Andy has worked with slayer before AFAIK (live DVD?).

I never liked slayer as much as I'm expected to though, being a metal head and everything.
To me it was always more fast played punk than metal...and those dreadful dreadful solos totally ruined it for me.

Umm... you guys know Hanneman died right? All the production in the world won't bring him back.

That was pretty much what i thought about it.. a Slayer without Hanneman and Lombardo?

I don't think they're interested in having a polished or even a good raw production anyway.
