It's almost a fucking year away, I'm still just getting over how awesome Wacken 08 was. Making a Wacken thread before it's even the right year yet is pointless as the thread will simply die out before it gets anywhere near the festival time.

Seriously, just like all the premature "OMGWACKEN" threads for Wacken 07 and 08, this thread will be gone from the first or second page as soon as bands stop being announced. Then around mid-late July it will be ressurected again so that all the people who said they were going but can't can cry about it. It happens every year.

But just for the record: Of course I'm going, I want 3 wristbands.

I totally agree that the thread is premature. I haven't even bought the tickets yet much less thought about airfare. I'm just trying to get through today. I can't worry about next year yet.

Ah I have a part-time job that nets me £232 ($378) a month, being a student that hasn't gone to University yet means I don't have any expenses, and the fact that flying from England to Germany and back is pretty cheap.

Although the current exchange rate with the Euro isn't helping. Wacken 07 I swear I practically doubled my money when I got it converted to Euros, this year it sucked :/

Hmm, thinking about it. Some good names, but I think I'll wait a bit to see what Graspop has to offer next year. I think it will be sold out pretty soon though. Really hoping to see Blind Guardian in 2009. They've been confirmed to play the Bang Your Head festival so maybe they'll do some more festivals.

It don't see why it would be gay, you actually went to the festival so it would pretty much just be buying a souvenier but later on. It's the people that buy them who haven't actually been to Wacken that are gay.

I should have added "yet" to "I'm not going for that setlist"
I meant that there isn't anything on the list yet that make me want to come, Anyway, chill the fuck out.
