i dont see how the label/engineer/band/manager could have listened to that mix and thought "that's a good snare volume"

yeah, I agree... the snare is awfully loud... thus letting us hear that constant *ping* non stop... oh god

The worst part is that it's got it's own definitive pitch and note... really quite annoying!!

it literally pisses me off how damn loud the snare is. It completely drowns out the music on some parts.
i probably wouldn't care so much if i didn't like the band haha

Yeah the snare is really obnoxious.
I like the the new album.
I cant decide if i like it as much as the older record though.

Ok so the snare kills it in my cars stereo. Fits in perfectly, especially cranked. WTF is going on there - no other snare sounds too low or anything on the same speakers!

i noticed the snare sounds fine to me in my car, so i dunno what the deal is.

definitely sounds way too loud in my studio monitors though...like..."wtf were they thinking" loud.

dunno how that works
