Oh yes.

Old news. Let me guess, the enemy will be updated to be some sort of muslim/middle east "terrorist" group and not really a proper army like the original. Bigger explosions, more action and (if it is even possible) less plausible plot.

why would you be excited for this? as if they could ever possibly do the original justice, it will be just another shitty re-imagining.

A potentially good remake would be "The Count Of Monte Cristo"...the 2002 one was ok. They need to have a really good director make an epic two films. First one ending when he escapes the prison and finds the chests of money...the second being when He kicks major ass. I'm all for it. I'll produce it. ; )

No, I think it's China and Russia vs. the US. If it were the usual terrorist BS I would've been all "meh", but it's classic cold war commies vs capitalists.

Nothing will ever top the original, but it could be interesting.

Has anyone seen it?

The original was on tonight as is probably one of my "classic favorites." (I'm in my early 20s). Watching it for the first time in a couple years made me re-realize how awesome it is and also reminded me they made a remake. I am going to see it pretty much only to compare it to the original. Anyone have any thoughts on it?

well, it seems like a dumb idea, and they put it on a shelf for 2 years before actually releasing it, so i dont hold out much hope for it not sucking.

saw it over the weeked, and i will say it's not terrible, but not astounding or anything like that. kinda cool though to see josh peck act like a man and kick some ass instead of a man-child worried about his first kiss, or some teenage shit like that.
