OK, I am voting for ..

Sweet...!

His only chance is to get enough delegates to the national convention and fight for the nomination there.

Which, incidently, is what John Edwards is trying to do. Looks like "the hair" will try to drive a wedge between Osama and Hitlery and save the Democrats from the impossible decision: choose the black or the woman?

Perhaps Ron Paul can do the same with the GOP's impossible decision: choose the short-wick liberal war hero, or the statuesque socialist Mormon?

All Ron Paul will do is serve as a spoiler for the GOP. every vote for Paul is a vote for either Hillary or Obama.
sad, but true.

While I have no beef with him..I kind of agree with Sue....

My guy all along has been Huckabee, and I see no reason to turn my back
on him now.. :kickass:

On a side note... As much as I like John McCain, his idea to make all illegals American citizens is the type of bad idea that scares me as to if he becomes presdent will more outrageous thoughts such as this one be presented.

RON PAUL!!!

Tbe honest, I was worried about the spoiler thing for a while, until my brother clarified one thing for me: Republicans are up for a majour loss in this election.

I frankly don't see ANY republican candidate stopping Hitlery OR Osama. The so-called mainstream candidates like McCain and Romney are missing one thing the Dems have: the joy of voting for a black man or a wo-man.

That means, all of the GOP candidates will end up being the accursed "spoilers!" And if the GOP can't come up with reasonable candidates, then fuck em! Huh. Maybe a loss and subsequent tidal wave of shame and liberal terror will wake up the party base and shake loose socialist freeloaders like McCain and Romney.

Normally, I vote republican since I was in the Marines for 8+ years, and republicans usually help out the military. But after Bush's 8 years, I'm not sure how or who I'm going to vote for. I don't see how the republicans can win this election considering how our economy is doing, and also with troops still being over in Iraq.

I have listened to this same tired, "lesser of two evils" argument since I started voting - and I'm nearly 40. Each major election cycle, the decent, or even halfway decent right-wing(ish) candidates are passed-over in favor of the impossibly mushy, though "electable" one(s)..."Compassionate Conservative" anyone? How many times can people fall for this same convoluted logic? What is the point of all these "principles" and "values" Conservatives love to trot-out at every opportunity, when every election year, they throw still more of them overboard and embrace some woefully agreeable moderate, ala Bush(old and young) and now McCain, etc.

Maybe what "Conservatives" in this country need is a President Clinton II or Obama...maybe then they would think twice about nominating lousy candidates every election, and perpetually watering-down their platforms to assume a more "progressive" stance - enter the Neocons stage Left!

It might be better if a Hilary or Obama win, when the economy collapses they can take the fall for it.

I LOVE this comment!!!! Just like all the liberal fags blamed Bush for 9-11 because in their words it happened "Under his watch" Right back at 'em!!

I am hoping for Huckabee or McCain... But I agree 100% with you!!!

That's what I thought until I talked to a correspondent of this newspaper in the US, he told me that if Hillary runs, she's probably going to lose because outside the big cities, she is being hated a lot. And "the rednecks" will count.

it's not so much about the 'lesser of two evils' as it is about making sure the 'greater of two evils' DOES NOT win!

Right, but this hopelessly flawed logic has been the unofficial tag-line of conservative voters sice Reagan - and even then the old school weren't thoroughly convinced, given his background, etc. Of course no traditionally-minded person wants a Hillary or Obama elected...but when time and again, the only reason to vote FOR your party's candidate is to effectively vote AGAINST the other "guy," it not only gets old, depressing and futile, but it just makes even more of a mockery out of the system than Washington has collectively done already.
Back in 2000 I would tell many of my "conservative" friends I was voting for Howard Phillips and the Constitution Party...they would stare blankly and say, "who? why?," etc. Basically the same was true even in 1996. I knew the American political Right was already moribund then! You can only compromise so many times until you have nothing left to give-up, except the last idea you supposedly stand-for. Republicans are so far down that road...even a McCain can get as far as he is now. What more need be said?

No, Not You! I couldn't even get a MIKEY BONG 2008 yard sign from your campaign HQ!

When I called in, some guy who referred to himself as "Zeethorpe Almighty" kept muttering away from the phone, "Where my shit? I-I dropped it somewhere. N-Nobody step on it, 'kay? Its my last twinny. What? What sign? I'm like, what, Aquarium or some shit like that... Hello? Hello? Shit, I think that fucker hung up on me..."

Mikey, fire his ass and get one of Mike Gravel's campaigners to work for you!
