the 90's were such a glorious time

FOR FANS OF: rotting christ, early septic flesh + gothic overtones + aquatic ambience

What?! The music* in Donkey Kong Country rules.

*everything

EDIT: This is good, much like many things '90s death metal.

but this album is less like dkc and more like sunken ruins and watery guitars

I liked this album a good bit. Reminded me of early Amorphis meets Cocteau Twins in some way. Tales From the Thousand Lesbians.

AOTY 2015, been listening to this excitedly lately. My tangible CD copy arrived from Finland just today in fact.

And it's a great reason why I don't buy much new music. I'm still catching up to things I missed 20 years ago.

This album remains the best thing I've heard over the past X years. I Just Can't Get Enough (repeat x666)

do you also have "crystal tears", the follow-up? because if not, it is quite recommendable. a little bit more gothic-girly perhaps but we've already established that should not pose a problem

Yep, and I love that one nearly as much. It took me a little longer to girl up to Crystal Tears, but it's pretty damn stellar. I have their oldest and newest releases as well, once I digest those a bit more I'll fill in the middle gaps.
