safe but not far from the city
on darklyrics database (http://www.darklyrics.com) recently have appeared lyrics for black-ash inheritance, in flames' 1997 mini-cd. they date back to the whoracle era, back when niklas wrote gyroscope, jotun and others, so maybe the 'goliaths disarm their davids' lyrics below are his own doing, too.
anyway:

--------------------------------------------------
Bible arm on social hell
Spins its downward spiral
With each year of unprogression
A fine of failure is added
Closer than ever to the edge
A feat in resident martyrs
Strong objects track my body,
My body down

Eyes, disappearing rebirth of light...
Between a labrynth of errors
And the key to the suicide era
Digging through the graves of giants
Words fly to me
A lonely road, like a promise
Failing miserably
Running through like an alphabet of hate
To shake the entire organism closer than ever,
Ever to the edge

Eyes, disappearing rebirth of light...
Between a labrynth of errors
And the key to the suicide era

I kill for the code to disarm this mess
Of psychotic chaos that once I mixed up myself

Disarm

There are lots and lots of errors in that text. It almost looks like someone has been trying to figure the lyrics out by listening to the vocals...So yes, I wrote the lyrics to that song, but half of the words are wrong in this version. I don't think I've got the real
lyrics saved, though...

Hmmm... Long time ago I asked for those lyrics in the (very old) In Flames forum and someone emailed me them. He said he had got them from Anders Fridén, so I believed they were correct. I don't remember, if they were different from those above, but I'll try to dig them up again.

Yeah, the lyrics of Inborn Lifeless were made by Jocke Gothberg (In Flames' best vocalist IMO) and I think they are quite similar with the lyrics of Dead God in Me.
