Right, 99% of you guys won't even give a shit about this, but I'm mixing a few songs for a client and there's this cover of Queen, from a song that was only on a B-side (demo) of one of their releases (can't remember which album).
So I found this was the perfect timing to go crazy and try to get a taste of how everything was done before. This mix features absolutely NO plugins, at all. Mixed straight through an aws900 + outboard, I tried my best to make it sound a bit more filthy, more roomy, to get a bit of that 70's vibe! It's a bit hard when we're so used to make everything so clean and sterile, but I'm loving every second of this and is also being very educational to me.
The mix isn't finished by the way, there's still loads of automation to be completed, etc etc and you may have to turn the volume considerably up as it's very quiet at the moment!
