Need your opinion on this mix which is still in progress.
Please don´t judge the music or the sloppy playing as they are really young amateurs. :guh:

I tried some new techniques and plugins so I´m curious what you guys are thinking.

Mania

Only the bass drum is triggered. The rest of the drumkit is natural to keep the raw and old school feeling.

Haha, thanks. I think so too but was somehow afraid cause I don´t like the music very much.
So if the production matches the music.....it would suck, too.

Anyway, it´s a little bit different from what I normally do so I´m glad you think that it worked.

nice production, little bit vintage trash sound. Feels like nice atmosphere.
How did you make the drums?, they sound very natural :)

They ARE natural.

It was a Premier dont´know what kit.
The snare was a 13" Tama steel snare. I didn´t like it at first but somehow it fits...only the bass drum is triggered with a sample I made ages ago from my pdp set.

Nothing special in the recording chain. Md 421s on the toms, sm 57 on snare and some audio technica pro 37r on the cymbals.
