Saturday afternoon: WESTWAY TO THE WORLD clash documentary broadcast
Sunday night: played the following videos in a ROW:

* The Flaming Lips: "Race for the Prize"
* Pavement: "Stereo"
* Blur: "Coffee and TV"
* Radiohead: "Idioteque"
* Portishead: "Only You"

wtf is going on! granted, it was MTV2 or something, but...

i like when they play rap if it's not garbage. they have hip-hop on MTV, MTVJAMS, MTVSOUL, and BET all the time. i haven't seen anything other than good rap on MTV2 (stuff they don't play on the other channels) like jurassic 5, the roots, ozomatli, etc., but i don't watch enough TV to say that's all the play.

3 south is indeed awesome...I think it's the heir apparent to Beavis and Butthead....pure, untainted, stupidity.

I actually like the shitty rap better than the good stuff on MTV.

If I want to listen to dope shit like Company Flow, I'll listen to my CDs, if I want to be entertained I wanna see this

oh okay. thank you. i had heard people talk about it but i never saw it and didn't know what the hell they meant.
if it's like it was when martha quinn did it, then that'd be neat.

i (am old and also) remember when MTV first came on and like, there were only about 10 music videos in existence and they just played them over and over again and the vj's tried to play it off, and also talked about really strange shit and had little skits. it was pretty funny.

no FUCKING shit about MTVX. i think i even posted about it here when it changed. the gayest thing was that i had 117 (MTVX) set as our only Favourite (digital cable, yum), and it wouldn't unset, so until two weeks ago our Favourite button was occupied by one of the worst channels on our 500-channel system.

mtv2 started as a commercial-free channel so that mtv could get back to showing music videos. apparently there were 3 or 4 people out there who weren't satisfied with the high-calibre programming on the regular mtv. now mtv2 has not only started having almost as many commercials as videos, but i think i saw a show-type-thing on there once too. time for mtv3 i guess.
