Do you know how to pour Hoegaarden properly?
you pour the beer into a glass but you leave 1.5 cm beer in the bottle, then you shake what is left in the bottle untill it all becomes foam and you pour that into the glass creating a 2 cm (almost an inch) of head!

I tried mead (Chaucer's actually) and I wasn't crazy about it. I have a couple more varieties to try though still. There's a meadery in Wisconsin called White Winter I'm going to try. They also make Black Mead with black currant in it so I'm curious how that compares.
