On A Whim .. and radio sucks

On a whim I downloaded some samples of Evergrey from their website.

Wow...it's good. I'm headed out to the my favorite record store tomorrow.

From now on I'm just gonna follow ProgMetalFan around and listen to bands he (?) seems to like.

And... radio sucks!!! Without the internet the world would be a musical desert!!

I bought Recreation Day shortly after I downloaded the samples.

It really is a great disc.

Although I had listened to it many times before, about 3 weeks ago I was listening to it and it was like I had a sudden moment of clarity. I was at work listening to the cd and all of the sudden I just stopped working and just really listened to the song that was playing. The lyrics are excellent. I found myself reading them all over again, and .. well, studying them.

I'm not sure exactly why I had the sudden moment of realization, especially since the first thing I do nowadays is read lyrics.

It's an excellent disc, well written and arranged.

Now I'm gonna have to get all the rest.

I've had similar experiences with many bands, Frank. You have something for awhile... and you enjoy it... but out of the blue one day... you just realize how GREAT the music really is! And then you have a whole new appreciation for it.

Amen to that! That's one of the reasons I think the internet is probably the best invention in the past 30 years.
