relatively low key instrumental guitarist. He could outshred anyone but never overused it...he always went for melody first. Had two solo albums then did a lot of stuff with Jonas Hellborg, experimenting with Indian music and stuff like that. To get into how much of a musical genius this guy was is impossible for me to write out right now.

Shawn Lane is one of my favorite musicians of all time. Enough can not be said about how amazing his music is. No music has ever effected me quite like Lane's did.

gosh it was only a year ago, from hearing of his passing that I even learnt who Shawn Lane was.. since then I listened to some of his music and was completely blown away by his talent. Definately one of the best guitarists ever, and a real shame for the world to lose.

I think Centrifugal Funk is probably the most technical soloing I have ever heard.
