British thrash metal veterans ONSLAUGHT have parted ways with guitarist Iain "GT" Davies and drummer Mic Hourihan. According to the group, "Mic and Iain made the decision to leave ONSLAUGHT soon after the last tour finished in order to concentrate on their other bands and projects." ONSLAUGHT has already secured replacements for Davies and Hourihan, although their identities have yet to be revealed. ONSLAUGHT guitarist Nige Rockett says: "The new guys are kicking major amounts of heavy metal backside right now and they will be announced to you all very soon. Believe me, the band has never sounded so aggressive and so focused!" The new ONSLAUGHT lineup will perform at this year's Bloodstock Open Air festival in August at Catton Park in Walton-On-Trent, West Midlands, United Kingdom. ONSLAUGHT's follow-up to 2013's "VI" album will be recorded during the coming months for a late 2018 release. "Songs have been written, demo tracks recorded and the thrashing machine is racing forward at full throttle," the band says. "This is shaping up to be ONSLAUGHT's most vicious and hard-hitting thrash metal attack yet!" A song from ONSLAUGHT's upcoming disc will be debuted at Bloodstock Open Air, with more details to be revealed at a later date. ONSLAUGHT released a concert CD/DVD, "Live At The Slaughterhouse", in February 2016 via AFM. The 13-song set captured two performances in the U.K. (Bristol and London) featuring the lineup of Sy Keeler (vocals), Nige Rockett (guitar), Leigh Chambers (guitar), Jeff Williams (bass) and Mic Hourihan (drums). ONSLAUGHT's sixth album, "VI", was released in September 2013 via AFM Records. The follow-up to 2011's "Sounds Of Violence" was mixed by Thomas "Plec" Johansson (TIAMAT, SCAR SYMMETRY) at Panic Room studios in Skara, Sweden.
