Operation Mindcrime II full album streaming

Wow, I am surprised that hardly anybody here has posted their thoughts/comments on this. I heard the whole stream yesterday and even though I was not 100% paying attention the whole time I did like what I heard, defo much better then their last efforts... no masterpiece either but to me it was quite enjoyable. I will defo be purchasing this.

I think a lot of people are bashing this album because of all the hype that was created, that is why I never pay attention to any hype and just take in music with a clean slate set of mind... if you get all hyped up there are too many expectations and thus unless it is a major masterpiece you are bound to feel dissapointed in different levels.

I've listened to the stream a few times, and its awesome...not AMAZING, but definatelly better than anything they've done in recent years, I can't wait to get the album and really soak it all in...

I think it's a very solid release, best they've done in years. I even like this better than Empire. I'm about ten listens in and I'm still curious to hear it on a daily basis, so that's a good sign.

It's no Mindcrime 1, but if you went in expecting an album of that caliber, you were playing the fool.

I'll be buying it, that's for sure.

When I first heard they were doing this I wasn't expecting that much...

Then I read all the hype reviews and thought that they just might pull it off...

And now that I listened to the thing, I'm not very impressed. It's just not that timeless classic stuff it should be... and part of it is still the same god-awful alternative rock they've done the last 10 years.

That said, it still sounded a lot better than Tripe... I mean Tribe and I will still buy it when it's out. One listen just isn't enough to form an opinion on albums like this.

+1 to all of that.

I got a "leaked" copy of the mp3s and burned them to CD a couple of weeks ago. I've listend to it over and over and can find stuff that rules and stuff that's weak, but overall it's still the most interesting Queensryche release since Op MC, IMHO.

First couple of plays I think it sounds pretty good, but we'll see if it ends up being one of those CDs I want to keep popping into the CD player. I'm a huge QR fan (hence my name) but even I will admit the last 3 CDs were nothing to write home about.

So I'm cautiously optimistic here.

Just picked up 2 12th row tickets to the L.A. show in October.

Operation Mindcrime I and II :headbang:

Yeah, I just got an email from Ticketbastard advertising them for September 29. Even though I'm not liking II all that much, I want to see it live. Tickets go on sale tomorrow.
