Anyone going to the first show at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh, N.C.? We don't usually get a lot of quality shows in this area and thought it'd be good to check this one out.

Just wanted to see if any of the regulars were planning on going down,.....

Well, not so sure i count as a regular, but we are planning to be there....don't have tix yet, but should manage to get them some time this week.

Some friends of mine -- including several of the WREKage radio-show hosts -- are considering making the drive up from Atlanta, since

a) there is not yet a date confirmed for Atlanta
b) even if/when there is a date here, Devin Townsend will not be on the bill

I don't know if I can take two days off work, since it's a mid-week show. :(

I'll be there with some friends coming from greensboro as well. Im coming from Charlotte and I got real lucky with it being in Raleigh. North Carolina has never been graced with such luck as Opeth here 2 times in a 4 month time period. Already got my tickets too.

I've taken a 21 hour bus trip to ProgPower in 2002.

It was simply wonderful.

21 hours??? They have a bus that goes that long? That's almost a whole day. Geez. What did you do?? Listen to lots of music? I would be sick. :ill:

Oh gosh... where should I start? We hopped on the coach from NYC and had to stop MAAAAANY MAAAANY times... The worst one was in Richmond VA and Charlotte NC where we had to wait about 2.5 hours each... The bus was smelly, people were ugly and scary... at least the AC worked... When we got to Atlanta, we asked for information for this dude who wanted money... And he gave us the wrong info... I was pissed!

On the way back... Same fucking deal... To make it worse, the idiots from Greyhound took our bags/luggage in Richmond and transfered to another bus (that's all coming back) which ended up in TORONTO! Can you fucking believe this?

Lucky I was able to recover all the stuff about 4 days later!

I've done a 16+ hour trip to Canada for some kickass fishing a couple times.
It was fun, we had LOTS of alcohol on board....Yeah, it was a charter. I fear Greyhound! lol It costs me roughly $200 to fly to GA every year. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. If it means haveing $50-$75 less spending money, I'll deal with that, rather than having a bad bus experience. Midwest Airlines RULES!

i'll hope there's an atlanta date. dark tranquillity always kick my ass

There's still a handful of open dates and possibilities, so all isn't lost...yet. My friends will definitely make the drive to Raleigh if no Atlanta date is confirned before then. I'm hoping I can go, if it comes down to it. And I'm double-plus-unhappy about Devin T. not being on the latter half of the tour. Replaced with Devildriver? Who will have played here twice in two months? :erk:
