"HD Voice offers an improvement in the sound quality of traditional mobile voice calls due to a wider speech bandwidth of 50-7000 Hz compared to the current narrowband speech codec of 300-3400 Hz. HD Voice uses the WB-AMR (Wideband Adaptive Multi-Rate) speech codec to deliver significantly enhanced sound quality while utilising the same network resources."

Now if they only had decent network coverage around these parts... Most of the times I'm on the phone with an Orange device or talking to someone who's using it the call is almost always on the brink of breaking up...
 
Actually I like this, wish more phones/carriers had something similar, I have some friends that call me I can't understand a word they are saying half the time I have to ask them to repeat themselves numerous times in a single call - others I don't, it's weird.
