Original BLACK SABBATH drummer Bill Ward has completed writing "a book of poems and statements." He is also planning to release new music with DAY OF ERRORS, the band he launched two years ago. In a brand new interview with Rhythm magazine, Ward said that he has kept himself busy in recent months. "I've spent five months writing; I just can't stop writing," he said. "I've been writing music and I've finished writing a book of poems and statements and things like that. I'm working on a release for DAY OF ERRORS as well." Regarding how the idea for DAY OF ERRORS came about, he said: "I got so lonely in 2012 and I wasn't playing drums. I thought I would just form my own band and play drums again. I think it was 2013 that we started looking for two other people and formed DAY OF ERRORS. We did some gigs last year that went down well and we're hoping to do more in September, October, November and December, just in the U.S. for the time being." DAY OF ERRORS was forced to cancel its previously announced West Coast tour in December 2017 after Ward was hospitalized with heart problems. The band, which also features Joe Amodea on guitar/vocals and KILL DEVIL HILL singer Jason "Dewey" Bragg on vocals, made its live debut in June 2016 at Gaslamp in Long Beach, California. Bragg joined DAY OF ERRORS last year following the departure of bassist/vocalist Nick Diltz (ALL HAIL THE YETI). Ward was on board for the SABBATH reunion when it was first announced in November 2011, but backed out soon after. He later claimed that he sat out the recording and touring sessions because of unfair contractual terms, although the members of SABBATH have hinted in other interviews that he wasn't physically up to the task. Ward in 2015 released his first solo album in 18 years. Titled "Accountable Beasts", the record can be purchased on iTunes.
