Don't know some of you here, but for me was an iconish figure since "Easy Rider" (which he directed and co-wroted too with Peter Fonda).
His performance then in "Apocalypse Now" is probably one of the best accomplish characters on the complex Coppola movie (which for me it's one of the top Nam flicks ever).
Across the years he did several roles from which I'll like to rescue: "Blue Velvet", "Red Rock West", "True Romance" and "Land Of The Dead".
After several years battling cancer Dennis passed away, may he rest in peace.
