OT: In Flames and evolution.

I really hope they continue to evolv, I would be very disappointed if they made a new Jester Race or Whoracle album, thats already been done. Sure I like the old stuff better, but sticking to the past would be wrong, just listen one more time at the old albums instead of hearing a new "old one". Hopefully for you guys they will evolv to a sound that you like

agree. in flames is a band whos sound i fell in love with when i heard it. the last 2 records not including CC were disapointing to me at first but i grew to like them to a degree. i feel like they finally evolved into something i can say i like again. its not whoracle but if i want that ill listen to that.

theres actually some songs that sorta start off the old school way but with different production of course and then go into some big chorus part or something wich in a way to me was sorta nastolgic but not stale.
i dunno just my opinion anyways

- Evolution as in 'getting better'. Higher lifeform.

- Devolution as in 'getting worse'. Lower lifeform.

yeah, funny how almost everyone agrees that they aren't getting better, but 'evolution' is in the lead..

I must be a bit behind the times, as I've only just heard them. One track on the latest Zero Tolerance cover CD called "Take This Life". I love it. Will definitely get hold of some of their stuff.

In other news, also on the CD are another band I've never heard... Hellfueled. The singer sounds just like Ozzy before Sharon turned him into a glorified performing monkey. Great stuff.

you know - I liked RTR a lot....and couldn't stand STYE. This new album...well....there are definitely some good riffs, but the way he delivers some of his vocals is just horrible.
