This is why I love Blabbermouth. You find good stuff among all the rewritten press releases.

All Ends is a Swedish metal band with two female singers, both fine singers at that. One of them is Emma Gelotte, sister of Bjorn Gelotte from In Flames. One of the guitarists is Fredrik Johansson, who played on 'The Jester Race.' The riffing sounds a little like Jester Race, too.

Going from this to Nightwish and Lacuna Coil drove home just how low register Emma Gelotte and the other girl actually are. I mean, they are almost tenors, no?

That riff though... reminds me of why I first got into In Flames.

Evanescence is so much better than Lacuna Coil. Evanescence has 5 records before their Fallen debut. They have 2 CDs, Fallen and Open Door that you can buy in the stores, but before they were signed, they had lots of incredible music, recorded very basic in their home. They have a really nice charm to them. On this site, you can legally listen to all the old Evanescence CDs. If you like Lacuna Coil, you will love this.

Somehow I feel lucky to have ONE great singer who gets along with everyone else. Having 2 would be REALLY something, but 3 female lead singers in one band?? - um, there wouldn't be room on the bus for that ego trip. I quit!
(Unless all three were Kirsten clones! ha ha!)

This song and band are INCREDIBLE!!. 2 great looking women singers with excellent tone / range etc. LOVE IT! Plus, they appear to have great stage chemistry.

Thanks for posting this.

No problem. But one of the girls (Emma Gellotte) quit and has been replaced. Be curious to hear the new sound, as she had the deeper voice.

Your link is password-protected. Access forbidden. I like Evanescence well enough, but saying they are so much better than Lacuna Coil is a stretch IMO. If you LIKE them better that's your prerogative, but I personally find LC to be a lot more versatile, and it's actually a band and not the Amy Lee Experience.
