OT: Osama Bin Laden Is Dead!

Congratulations on killing the most wanted man.

The problem is, although Osama is dead, the killing of the man has just put the world on the edge of a giant precipice.

By killing him you made him a martyr, how many now will seek to avenge his death.
I am at this time extremely happy to not be in the United States or travelling there. There is going to be retribution for this mark my words :(

When I first saw that this morning, that's the first thing I thought. :(

Yes the man who we trained and supported to help fight the Soviets has now been killed by the people that trained and supported him. Our fictitious cause behind 9-11 is now dead. But Americans will believe anything. Even that Iraq had something to do with 9-11 and they were harboring WMDs.

And the subliminal mind control goes on...

Retribution? Perhaps, but they lost their figure-head. Buried at Sea, huh? Lots of people dump trash in the Ocean.

Thats the problem, all he was was a figure head. Theres far more dangerous people running his group now.
I only hope that intelligence on the recovered systems leads the authorities to more key players. If they gt another chance to hide, retribution will be devastating.

Come on you guys are Brits. Id expect more from you. This is obviously one of the biggest propaganda campaign ever created. This is to further an agenda that is created by those who continue to write history with fairy tales while people blindly believe and follow like sheep. The media blitz and the people celebrating chanting U S A U S scare me a hell of a lot more than Al Quida.

Not sure what being British has to do with it, other than the fact we tend to pick our fights carefully.
We are under no illusion that this "war on terror" cannot be won under the rules of engagement we currently have. To win, we have to adopt the same mindset of the enemy.
Unfortunately that doesnt sit too well with too many people, so we cannot win.

Yes we can kill people like Bin Laden, but there will be 2 to step up and replace him, then three, then four. All you did was grant him his biggest wish. To be killed by western soldiers in a muslim country.
You guys siffered one big attrocity, we brits are used to being targetted by terrorists, we have lived with it on and off since 1916. We know that the only way to defeat terrorism is by appeasement. Killing the head figure aint exactly appeasing the enemy.

I meant by being Brits you are not American, so you can see it all from a somewhat outside perspective, yet you have access to just as much info as any other "free" country.

Bin Ladin as the root cause of all terrorism, and his death signifies everything is back to honky dory again, is such ignorance. Then to go out and celebrate is the hight of immaturity. Bring every troop home from any war or battle America is involved in, restructure this incompetent corrupt government that has hijacked America for many many decades, exposing the frauds that both parties are, and then maybe you'll see me celebrating.

There's nothing honorable about volunteering to be sent over to kill Muslims to help further the interests of the elite, disguised as some imaginary "war on terror" then get sent home in a body bag. That's just plain stupid. Many in the military even come to figure that one out as soon as they go there. Then they are just doing a job. I don't honor the troops, I feel sorry for them, since they are merely pawns in a much larger sick game, that upon enlisting just couldn't wrap their heads around.

Wel I aint gonna criticise the troops of any nation, so I'm backing away from that comment.
We can see things from a whole point of view....I dont agree with the mass hysteria that was shown on TV celebrating his death, because I know that it means very little. It wont stop terrorism and it wont stop Al Quaeda either.

No matter what, theres going to be reprisals, either in the US, or here in the UK. Remember that the guys who bombed london on 7/7 were British born Muslims. We know how to deal with terrorism and thats why we policed Helmand province the way we did. We spent years learning the ropes in Northern Ireland.
