Get this: Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones finally put their foot down with Plant, who has stalled on a reunion/farewell tour for almost a year now. They told him enough of this crap with Allison Krauss, get back to England and let's work on a tour, or we'll go on without you.

Plant said go on without me. (if he ISN'T banging Krauss, then he's an even bigger idiot than I thought for passing on this.)

So Jimmy, John and Jason tried out a number of singers and settled on one. All we knew for a few days was it was an American singer. Well, word floating around is it's Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge.

So, Maiden fans, will you see Alter Zeppelin?

Plant has wised up.

ROCK legends LED ZEPPELIN are set for a reunion tour after singer ROBERT PLANT finally caved in and agreed to join them.
Guitarist JIMMY PAGE, 64, bassist JOHN PAUL JONES, 62, and drummer JASON BONHAM, 42, had resigned themselves to touring without Plant.

They even rehearsed with stand-in singers - and one American was so impressive they were confident they could hit the road next year without Plant.

That was what finally persuaded him to return.

A source revealed: “The rest of the band had all but given up on Robert joining them, but they were determined to go ahead so had started to seriously explore other avenues.

“When Robert realised the band were serious about doing it without him, it made him think long and hard.

“He realised he couldn’t face the thought of not being involved.

“The band were over the moon when he told them the news.

“They are now forging ahead with the tour plans and they can’t wait to get on the road.”

The tour, set for next summer, follows the massive success of their one-off reunion show at London’s O2 Arena in December.

Led Zep, who have sold more than 300million albums worldwide, formed in 1968 and split up in 1980 when drummer John Bonham - father of Jason —-died aged 32.

Rolling Stone magazine dubbed them the biggest band of the ’70s.

Without a doubt :zombie: but I'd still love to go if it's not half a year's salary! :headbang:

These days I would rather spend my money on up and coming bands. Bands that aren't super famous yet and have reasonable ticket prices. I would rather put that "extra money" in my gas tank than pay for someone's mortgage on the mansion.

Sorry Robert, I know we are asking way too much of you. To torture you by playing wonderful music in front of adoring fans. Traveling the world and seeing great places while staying at 5 Star hotels and eating gourmet room service that is payed for by the promoters. Of course we wouldn't want to hurt you by paying you millions of dollars for it.

How dare all you people begging for a Zeppelin reunion tour! How dare you sick sick people! Leave Lil Robert alone, will ya?

I bet the American was this guy from Led Zeppagain. I know Jimmy Paige has gone and seen them live several times and is a huge fan

Zeppelin has always been my favorite band, and Plant one of my favorite vocalists, but I personally think Plant would ruin any tour with Zep now. At least for me he would.

Sorry, no offence intended, but someone has to say it.

I never liked his solo shit much(Tall cool one made me puke even), his voice was lost decades ago. Nestalgia is no reason to endure poor performance. Plant needs to retire as a vocalist.

Without Plant doing the lead vocals, I am ready to drive accross a few States to see the show.

A powerfull Female vocalists would work on many levels, without disrespecting Robert as much as a Male would, and it would add a new twist that could set this reunion up to be one of the highlights of this decade.

Thats the way I would like to see Zep go anyways.
