i know this isn't the best cover, but the violin/fiddle lead is fucking sick in that song. I wish mr. v and mattias would do some type of reunion with the rest of the band members.

I love this cover! Obviously, I think the original is best - but, the way Otyg changed it was completely orginal.
I once heard the version of Killswitch Engage, I was going to puke I was so disgusted.
I shouldn't say that it's the best cover Mr. V has done, lets not forget of Rainbow Demon! But I must say Holy Diver is also utterly fantastic!
Oh yes, and I agree with you about a reunion. I don't where in the world they do it, I'm there for sure!

The violin solo in that song is craaaazy, so good!

But I must say, although I don't like KSE's music in general at all (metal core suxxx), I found their cover of Holy Diver to be very good, and especially good if you watch it with the video. It was a nice tribute to Dio, and it definitely was a labor of love (I mean, come on, the singer is such a huge Dio fanboy that he inserted himself in the video as the blacksmith! Talk about living a childhood dream!).

I don't like killswitch either, the metalcore genre mostly sucks...I do like shadows fall however.

When I first heard their cover of Holy Diver I didn't know what to think. I wasn't crazy about it, but I love it now. Every time I listen to it, it grows on me more and more.
