I think it's somewhere between post-metal and post-rock with crust, hardcore and some black metal influences (though only very little on this album).
The album will be released in August 26th (EU) and September 3rd (North America) through LifeForce Records.

Loving this! \m/ Wish the drums were a bit louder, they seem really behind in the mix, even for this genre. But really cool music :)

Thanks guys, glad you like it. :)

And yes, unfortunately I agree the drums are a little too quiet - though they are intentionally behind the rest, but I might have overdone it.
I mixed this well over a year ago, and recently we added drums to one of the (then) instrumental songs, but I didn't have the time nor energy to redo all mixes.
By now I would've made quite some different mix choices, I guess we all know that feeling :erk: :D

Thanks Jarkko, that means a lot :) Never heard of Martyrdöd before, but looked them up and realized I'll see them live in two weeks @ Fluff Fest which is cool haha.
Weird, the link doesn't work for me either (it does on facebook, but not from this forum). Probbaly the umlaut (ä) in the name. I changed the link, the search term is "the elk" now.

If anyone's interested and the link still doesn't work, here are the individual ones:

@Vicioushead: Thanks! I honestly thought this wouldn't appeal to anyone here, but glad to see I was wrong.
The name is german - actually, "Thränen" is an old, outdated form of "Tränen" (tears) - and could be roughly translated as "child of tears". It's hard to translate though because you can interpret it different even in german as it is kind of a neologism. It could be a crying child, or a child who causes other creatures to cry, a child born in tears, etc.

Is the shirt design heavily inspired by Hannibal(Series)?
Ha, not from our part at least. Don't know about the designer but none of us has seen the Hannibal series. :D It's supposed to kinda show an impersonation of nature (or at least someone living very close to nature) dying because our civilization doesn't care about pollution, climate change, acid rain, dying forests, etc.
Wow, the vinyls look amazing.
=) Thanks
