To be fair, the question was "Who was one of your favorite White Sox players growing up?". He grew up in Hawaii, why the hell would he care who was on the Sox when he was a kid? My favorite football team growing up was the 49ers, I could probably still name a handful of top players they used to have, but ask me to name anyone who played for some random team like the Oilers (now the Titans) during the same time period and there's no fucking way I can think of a name. So he couldn't name a Chicago player from the 60s-70s and that makes him a fraud? Setting the standards pretty low there, man.

He could have easily named a couple players from the period in which he allegedly fell in love with the team. Frank Thomas, Robin Ventura, Guillen, come the fuck on.

"You know, I grew up in Hawaii, didn't fall in love with the Sox until around 90, I really enjoyed watching Thomas slug."

Instead
