Favela of My Dismay
This thread is inspired by Swizzlefry name dropping Crimson Relic's Purgatory's Reign.

Everyone knows my love for Thorns of the Carrion. They make "My Dying Bride" sound like "My Dead Bride" by comparison. I was lucky enough to pick up both of their full length releases for mere pennies. See attached thread for details...

Any how, the drummer of TotC, Chris Dalcin, who happens to be one hell of a guy, is also the driving force behind an equally kick ass band known as "...And Here I Lie"

Good Christ, do yourselves a favor and click on the myspace page below. If not, leave the fucking hall and go watch HD Porn. :heh:

Bleak Autumn Records :kickass:

Any how, let's have some serious God damn discussion for once. (I'm one to talk). What are some uber underground treasures that are nearly impossible to acquire with out bartering an internal organ?

BTW, Does any one have any samples of Crimson Relic?!?

Random Crimson Relic track.

EDIT: I think that most of the unnoticed bands tend to be death metal bands because there were so many bands that didn't ever get a good record deal. Megaslaughter for example could only get a record deal that put out a very small about of vinyls, but the music is something that could be as popular as Pestilence. It's sad really that so many great old school death metal bands are completely forgotten about. Hurray for the internets.

Gay.

My samples are 128kbps .wma files. They will be randomly selected because I don't feel like listening to 15 albums trying to find the best example of the album.

id like that supposed re-release of Vinterland's Welcome My Last Chapter to finally come out....unless i missed it.

"Haptephobic" is a tech prog "thrash" MONSTER, i adore this album, especially the vocals...i mean seriously this is the only thing that got near the emotional craziness of Depressive Age and late Mekong Delta. Definetaly among the 5 most criminally unknown albums of the 90s. When Sore Plexus suddenly "dissapeared" i seriously got sad that they would just leave this album and "Visual Agnosia" behind them.

And this one for a more clear view on what the album holds.

Sore Plexus - Cardriver's Weekend

Seriously, "Haptephobic" is one of the very few albums i would upload for everyone to get, just because these guys deserve huge praise, even now that they are just history and because it's not that easy to find the album. So if there is a popular request, it shall be done.
