Ok, this pissed me off... Black Sabbath just got back together for good (til one of them dies), then Ozzy announces, he's not playing at his own f*cking concert! That pisses me off on so many different levels... I'm totally serial.

Given the circumstances of last year's Ozzfest and the way Sharon Osbourne dissed Iron Maiden at Devore, I will not be attending another Ozzfest ever again.
Iron Maiden, and Sabbath, that was an Ozzfest that should have stayed on forever. I wish Metallica or Megadeth would go on tour with Ozzfest... Here is my wish concert:

But I also think it has gotten more and more nu-metal as the years have gone on. Now, it's bad enough I don't like that stuff, but frankly it's not even really en vogue anymore. If they had Maiden, The Scorpions, Sabbath, Priest....and a few of the new, yet well respected young guns ala Opeth or Nevermore....they'd sell the same amount of tickets.
I don't really like the terms mall-core and all that, they just kinda bug me. But it's true that Ozzfest is nothing more than a celebration for kids who shop at Hot Topic and Spencers. Lame. Completely corporate crappola. And for what it's worth? I agreed with every word of Bruce Dickinson's corporate rant at last years show. It's nice to know there is still someone out there with integrity.
No Sharron bashing from me. No Ozzy bashing from me. Hell, no nu-metal bashing even. To each his own.
Then again, fuck ozzfest.
