Pantera-ish - POD/Slate - rifftastic!!!

After spending some time listening to my fave CD "Far beyond driven" I couldnt help myself and record this short piece - in the vein of the almighty Dimebag

Just a rough mix - using my old Rockwood LX 250G and the ol POD X3 live,
into Cubase sx - then disabled the cab on Podfarm and used a Randall cab IR i have.

used the Line 6 "modern high gain" amp - I always end up coming back to this one!!

some heavy eq'ing to get close to Dimebags sound - and only doubletracked like he used to "...just turn the f*%kers up!!..." <<quoted from an interview with him.

Sounds sick man, but to me Dime's tone was always in his fingers.. I always struggle to find Dimes tone in anyone elses work because they don't play like him..

but great job none the less

Sounds great but...it sounds more like a bay area band than pantera to me...
It also nailed "that" sound, speaking just of the guitar, dime had a lot more present, buzzsaw like midrange than this one

Anyway good job
