VocalVictim.de conducted an interview with PAPA ROACH bassist Tobin Esperance and drummer Tony Palermo on November 16 in Nürnberg, Germany. You can now watch the chat below.PAPA ROACH is tentatively scheduled to enter the studio in February 2014 with producer Kevin Churko (OZZY OSBOURNE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, IN THIS MOMENT, HELLYEAH) to begin recording its eighth album.Regarding PAPA ROACH's mindset as they prepare to make the next record, Esperance said: "Going into it already, it already feels like the band is way more on the same page than we've ever been. And that's in all respects — not just musically, but I think just all of us [being] very focused and mentally, physically prepared to go in and do this. Last time, there was a lot of stuff going on in the time of making the record. I think we were just burnt out and stuff and there was a lot of pressure because we were making the record ourselves in our own studio. We took a long time to make it and [we had to deal with] a lot of real-life stuff that happens that goes into the music and makes that record what it is at that point in time. But I don't know… This time… I think… We always think before we make records. I don't know what that means. But once we get in the moment, I'm sure it's gonna be bad-ass."Speaking about a possible musical direction PAPA ROACH plans to take with its new material, Esperance said: "I think our goal is to just make the best PAPA ROACH record that we can for that moment in time. I mean, where we'll all be at at the beginning of next year will really determine where we go with it. I mean, we've been talking about the direction and we definitely want it to be kind of just picking up where we left off — a lot more focused. And we want it to have the energy that we have live. So whether it's heavier, that means it's gonna be heavier. That could be a possibility."PAPA ROACH singer Jacoby Shaddix and his wife, Kelly, are the proud new parents a baby boy, Brixton Gabriel Shaddix. Kelly underwent a Caesarean section procedure a a Californian hospital on September 17 and Brixton was born at 9:45 a.m. local time. He weighed in at 7 pounds and 3 ounces and measured 19 inches long. This is the third son for Jacoby and Kelly, who are also the parents of Makaile Ceilo Shaddix, born March 24, 2002 and Jagger Monroe Shaddix, born September 13, 2004.During the making of PAPA ROACH's latest album, "The Connection", Shaddix split and reconciled with his wife of 16 years and also fell off the wagon.
