UK gothic metal stars, Paradise Lost, could possibly release their new studio album this September. The band’s last release Icon 30 – the 30th anniversary re-recording of the band’s fourth studio album Icon – was released in December 2023. Prior to that, they released the Obsidian studio album in May 2020.
Greg Mackintosh talked about the upcoming new release while speaking with PowerOfMetal.cl as part of the promotion for their upcoming performance in Chile.
Asked if the band are currently working on new material, Greg reveals, “Yeah, it’s already half-way recorded. Next week I go to Sweden to finish off recording vocals, then we mix it and master it, and then we give it to the label. I think it’s coming out like September time. So yeah, it’s almost finished.”

Paradise Lost recently announced dates for “The Devil Embraced” North America 2025 Tour. The trek is scheduled to kick off at Milwaukee Metal Fest on May 16, and will conclude on May 24 at Maryland Deathfest.
