Well grilling is not really "barbecue" and a DISGRACE TO THE ART OF BBQ but everyone calls grilling barbecuing so whatcha gonna do. But seeing as how grilling was mentioned as what's going on I don't see the problem. Two different styles of cooking which have their own place.
