I know there's not a whole lot of us old school Pat Travers fans on here but for those who are interested, this should be good:

Pat Travers will be the featured guest on the nationally syndicated radio show ROCKLINE on Wednesday night February 25 at 8:30pm PT / 11:30pm ET. Fans are encouraged to call to speak with Pat at 1-800-344-ROCK (7625). For a station near you and for information regarding how to log onto the Internet for the live broadcast go to www.RocklineRadio.com

Travers will also perform a plugged-in live set! The show will be streamed on the Rockline website beginning the afternoon of the following day of the broadcast.

shocker of all shockers.. The Hollywood House of Blues actually gave away FREE tickets to this show last night. They won't lower there fees, parking, drinks or what not, but when the shit hits the fan, they do 2 for 1 or in this case, comp tix.

PT rocks, although I'm not as much of a fan of his "blues phase". Like Gary Moore, he still a great player, but I much prefer both in a rock format.

Might have to listen to the stream, just to see what he's been up to...

I understand his new material is going to be more like the classic stuff, not the blues thing - hope that is the case!

Does he have "classic stuff"? Really, this guy has been all over the musical map when it comes to his recordings. And I'm not saying its all bad, he has had some lofty highs and some pretty deep lows. In my opinion, he's one of those artists who always gave you a good jam or two off an album with the rest being mediocre and filler.

Been a Travers fan since the 70's and saw him a few times in the 70's and 80's. I stopped seeing him when he started the blues stuff. I got to see him live last year at a little club near my home and he absolutely kicked ass. His voice sounded great, his guitar tone was almost metal and he played a ton of the hits from the 70's--Heat In The Street, Stevie, Boob Boom (which I have always hated), etc. He was much better tha I was expecting--it was like the 70-80's (without Pat Thrall unfortunately). He comes to the club by me about once a year and i will be going next time he comes around.

I consider everything from his debut album to CRASH AND BURN "classic" - after that his material did become patchy, still some good stuff but hit-and-miss. Based on the recent live album I'd say he is getting back to that early sound...
