EAGLE TO RELEASE PAUL RODGERS DEBUT SOLO DVD LIVE IN GLASGOW
~ON CD APRIL 17 AND DVD MAY 29~

“Paul Rodgers has been, and still is by far, one of the finest talents of our musical genre.”—Jimmy Page, 2007

New York, NY (March 21, 2007)- Eagle Rock Entertainment, will release Paul Rodgers’ debut solo DVD ($14.98) Live In Glasgow on May 29 and CD ($13.98) on April 17. The prebook date for the CD is March 23, while the date for the DVD is May 4.

Live In Glasgow, recorded in October of 2006 on the last date of his Sold Out UK tour (which included a date at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall), is stunning proof that Rodgers’ voice has gained strength and sounds stronger than ever. This 135-minute DVD, shot with 13 cameras, includes brand new songs “Warboys (A Prayer for Peace)” and “Far Distant Shore,” as well as songs he has not performed in 35 years, and many of his hits, including “All Right Now,” “Feel Like Making Love” and “Can’t Get Enough.” Soulful, bluesy, swaggering, he belts out his songs, and also plays piano and guitar. The band: guitarist Howard Leese (Heart), bassist Lynn Sorenson, drummer Ryan Hoyle (Collective Soul) and 17-year old guitar prodigy Kurtis Dengler.

Rodgers’ growing resume reads like a rock history lesson. This platinum-selling singer, songwriter and self-taught multi-instrumentalist has written, recorded, produced and released 28 albums. He found and led three bands to International Success: Free (1968-1973), Bad Company (1974-1982) and The Firm with Jimmy Page(1984-1986) and now enjoys a Grammy –nominated solo career. In 2005 -06, he joined forces with Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor for the successful Queen + Paul Rodgers World Tour, performing songs from both catalogues, plus Rodgers’ new song “Take Love.” He continues to tour and record internationally as a solo artist. I WAS AT THAT VERY CONCERT:D !!!!!!

Canny wait to get my hands on the DVD - that Paul Rodgers concert was absolutely stunning, one of the best concerts I've been to, he was superb and the atmosphere that night at the Clyde Auditorium was electric. I think I put some pics on here back in October. I've heard The Hunter from it played onPlanetrock, sounds magnificent - orgasmic even!!!!!

Do you see me in the DVD - I was right at the front of the barrier just to the right of Paul Rodgers, wearing an Angel Witch tshirt. I hope I'm not in it cos I was a bit wrecked and probably singing all the wrong words - OH DEAR!!!!!!

Looks good!I will defiantly pick this up.

But there is another DVD out there from 94' I was there & in a few crowd shots. My brother is standing by Eric Martin from Mr. Big in one shot. Filmed in San Fran. w/Trevor Rabin, Slash & Brian Setzer making special appearances . Neal Schon was in the band, this was when Paul was playing the Hendrix set.

I think this DVD was done for the Japanese market, anybody know?

I have a copy because I could never find an original, & it took me over ten years to get that.

That was an import only release. It was for the Muddy Waters album that he did if I recall correctly...

Yeah I think so Sixxswine - the setlist looks about right to me. It was a very short concert, it just seemd to be over in a flash, and I'm sure he was only on stage for just over 1 hour - if I remember correctly just about 1 hour and 10 minutes. IT WAS MAGNIFICENT THOUGH AND WOULD LOVE TO SEE HIM AGAIN!!! 2nd best concert of last year.
