Paul Stanley says that Gene Simmons should be fully recovered after his recent kidney stones surgery to perform inside a submarine next month. KISS will put on a private concert in Australia for great white sharks and a few die-hard fans as part of a promotion for Airbnb. The special concert is just one of many "Animal Experiences" recently launched by Airbnb. On the morning of November 18, eight fans of the band will travel off the coast of Port Lincoln, South Australia by boat and then submerge into a submarine where they can not only witness a performance by KISS but also enjoy some up-close-and-personal views of great white sharks. The unusual event will take place less than two months after Gene's procedure to have some kidney stones removed, and according to Paul, he should be ready to perform well before the shark show. "I tend to think he just ate gravel," Stanley joked in an interview with The Associated Press. Tickets for KISS's underwater concert are being made available on first-come-first-served and will only cost $52 per person. They go on sale at 6 p.m. EDT on October 14. Last month, KISS postponed its shows in Oakland and Los Angeles. The date at Oakland Arena, originally set for September 16, is now listed on the venue web site as March 6. The date at Staples Center in Los Angeles, originally set for September 20, now takes place March 4. The only reason given for moving the Oakland and Los Angeles performances was "unforeseen scheduling issues." KISS's current lineup consists of original members Simmons and Stanley, alongside later band additions, guitarist Tommy Thayer (since 2002) and drummer Eric Singer (on and off since 1991). Formed in 1973 by Stanley, Simmons, drummer Peter Criss and lead guitarist Ace Frehley, KISS staged its first "farewell" tour in 2000, the last to feature the group's original lineup. The "End Of The Road" farewell tour launched in January and is expected to run through at least the end of 2020.
