peavey 6505+ Best Tubes

just wondering what people have found to be the best tubes for a 6505+.

I think the stock ruby tubes sound pretty sweet but what are your comments?

i was lucky enough to get some free mesa tubes put in my 6505+ before i bought it!

at guitar center, i was playing it though the typical 6505 cab which sounded really blah, so i asked the sales guy if i could try it in one of the mesa cabs with v30's. he plugged it in and got this scratchy sound that hadn't happened with the other cab. long story short he replaced the tubes with mesa ones and it worked fine. now i don't know if it's the tubes or the cab that made such a difference (most likely the cab), BUT i'll tell you that combination is
i currently have an avatar cab and it sounds great though it. i can't say i've heard an accurate comparison between how the two brands of tubes sound, but i've had no problems with mine and i love the sound i have now!
