Peter Griffin or Homer Simpson?

ok - i love the simpsons - i always will. But latley - they have really lacked. And it is not all their fault. The standards for cartoons have sky-rocketed in the past 5 years. It used to be the Simpsons, and that was it - nobody could touch them. Now you have South Park, Family Guy, American Dad (which is not crazy funny - but you have to respect their balls - they drop at least one very edgey racist joke every episode), And don't even get me started on the slu of shit on the Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim." All the heat has pushed the simpsons into a different direction with their humor, and it is not really working for them. I'm afraid I would have to say Peter Griffin. I have laughed so hard to the point of almost pissing myself more times then I can count while watching Family Guy. And Homer was never my favorite character on the Simpsons anyway.

I bet you didn't expect such a long ass answer for a question that only needs to be responded with two words, huh?

I'd say Homer. Family Guy rox, but I think they pretty openly borrowed from The Simpsons and some of the Other toons. I miss Futurama though, I loved that show man.

I like Homer better but I've been watching Family Guy much more then the Simpsons lately. Is it just me or have the past couple of seasons of The Simpsons pretty much sucked?
I miss Futurama too dumbass.

I used to watch the Simpons but I haven't watched them in ages. I love Family Guy, though, so I have to go with Peter.

If you have Cartoon Network, you can still watch Futurama (even thought they are all repeats).

I liked a lot of the old Adult Swim cartoons but the new ones are not funny at all. Anyone see Tom Goes to the Mayor? That cartoon is horrid.

Family Guy definatley did get a lot of plot ideas from the Simpsons. I thought it was funny though, after Family Guy came back around - you noticed the Simpsons borrowing plot ideas from them.

It's hard not to rip off the Simpsons, man, they have done everything. But they have been sub-par latley.
