Mmh, does anybody here like Phil Collins' solo stuff? I don't think I've read many good things about his solo work, but his "poppier" stuff has great arrangements, one of the best for his genre. Me likes. What about you?

Meh, hit or miss for me. I think Peter Gabriel's solo stuff was better.

But I must say that threads like this are one of the reasons why I keep coming back to this forum. Where else but an Opeth forum would you find such variety of musical interests?

I prefer Gabriel's solo stuff, but you can't deny Phil's talent as a songwriter.

When his solo music was fresh and new, it was well-done in the 80's. Listening now, it just doesn't come off all that well to me. Sounds contrived. Excellent drummer though. One song though I do like is; "I can feel it coming in the air tonight, Oh Lord.

Yeah... He's got a few good tunes but Peter Gabriel's solo work eclipses it all.

Imnot a fan of Genesis myself but I wouldnt go as far as to call them gay. I mean Im sure they have paved the way for alot of brilliant musicians.
