Phil's Video on the Death of Dimebag

I saw it and I have to say it really got to me. I know Phil said some pretty nasty things about Dime before his death and while I don't know the whole story you've got to belive that deep down they both still had a lot of love for each other.
I know I've had a feud or two with some of my closest friends over the years and I couldn't imagine how awful it would be to loose one of them during that time and for it all to end on such a sour note.

It is intense. He looks pretty devastated and pretty wasted btw.
There is one interesting comment on that bodybuilding forum made by this user Mark123, and I can´t say I wouldn´t sign under this:

**** that worthless peice of shit. I love Pantera, they are top 5 one of my favorite bands but Anselmo can seriously go and **** himself.

Ask him a month ago what they thought of Dimebag Darrel and he would have said something along the lines of "I hope he dies". Go back to when Damage Plan released their CD and Anslemo was constantly saying they suck (which they did) and that Dimebag sucks (which is false).

I wonder how much herion was in his system when he made that video. I hope when he said "You won't be seeing me for a long time" he actually meant that he was going to go and kill himself.

On an upbeat note though. I saw Pantera's last Canadian concert....and they were defaintly the best live band I've ever seen....ever.

RIP Dimebag.

Do you really think he was being sincere in that vid? There's just something about it. Can't quite put my finger on it tho, but I think it's all an act. I'd like to believe different, but after the things he said recently, I can't see it. Its almost like discovering someones suicide note to be honest. But I hope he doesn't go to those extremes. No matter what sort of a person he is, he, Dime, Vinnie and Rex made Pantera what they were, and that is one of the best bands that I ever had the privilege to see live. Superjoint Ritual are also pretty intense live, going by their latest DVD.

if it's all an act he's in the wrong line of performing arts.
people think he's retiring when he says this is the last you'll see of me for a long time.
I don't think so, he's talking to the media not the fans so i think yeah he'll be out for a while greiving but he'll be back soon and just won't say any personal shit to the media.

hate to see anyone in that state whether it be bullshit or not. I am sure Phil deeply misses dime and how he deals with it is his business. I only wished all of us knew not of what it was like to lose dime.

Phil talks alot of shit and in most cases is full of it. But I would hate to be him right now. I actually feel sorry for the guy. He said all those things about Vinnie and Dime and now he will never get a chance to make amends.. Its sad, very, very sad. Perhaps with time he can at least make his peace with Vinnie.
