Hey all,

I'm not one to follow blogs, that is, until I found this one: Dude gets arrested & convicted for videotaping cops on the job. Dude appeals, gets case thrown out & promptly sues police for harrasment & malicious prosecution.\

He also starts a blog on his story & it morphs into a catch-all first amendment site.

He's got some great stories on here & even has a pretty interesting video where he clocks a security guard trying to rough him up. This will be featured in an upcoming HD Net documentary.

Check it out at:

Ya dude!

I have been following this for a while! There is a similar case going on here in Nevada where a cop kicked the shit out of a 18 year old kid after pulling him over for having his music too loud, so basically for no reason and his friend recorded the altercation on his cellphone. The cellphone recording was "inadmissible" in court cause they didn't get the cops "permission" to record the altercation. Its such fucking bullshit!

Something about that JoeyBoots thing just makes me think he's a really banal cunt for doing what he does. It would work better as an academic white paper than a fat man waddling around cities pissing people off.

A similar case in Sweden as well, when a journalist saw 2 civilian cops pushing 2 kids against the wall for not having their subway tickets, so he takes a few pictures and the cops turn over against him asking him why he is taking pictures.
When he shows id, comes up clear in the registry and can show his subway pass, they start to say things "hey, doesnt he look high? i bet he is on drugs.".
He got a video with his Iphone, they made him delete it.. but he managed to restore it and file a lawsuit against the 2 officers.

Its all in here(In Swedish.): http://tuggarna.posterous.com/polisen-som-mitt-i-tunnelbanan-star

Agreed. JoeyBoots is a bit of a jerk. But, the rest of the blog is pretty damn amazing.
