pickups

x2n bridge, tone zone neck and a damn awesome combo i might add (i use a 10x booster on this setup and it destroys emgs with ease)

The Invader isn't that good.

I have one in my KV2 and the pinch harmonics on it suck.

I can scream better ones from stock BC rich.

My friend put an Invader in the bridge position on his Schecter C-1 Classic, it sounds awesome. The only problem I have with it is the harmonics don't sustain very well.

a 10x booster is exactly that, it takes whatever you have and it multiplys the signal by 10x, so if im using a clean signal it will act as a nice volume boost, but if i have it on an od channel...be prepared to have the shit beat out of you! :headbang: i literally have to use 3 custom presets on my rack when i decide to kick on the booster, they all have the gain set to about 1-3 cause if i go higher it feedsback with my hush all the way up! then again i aslo use a treble booster with it (it only gives it a more "bitey" sound)

i also have a guitar with evolutions and they are killer pickups you cant go wrong with something steve vai designed!

not to my knowledge, neal moser only makes a 10x booster and yes you can use it with both pickups, you might want to check into an emg pa-2 or afterburner if you want a lower boost, i believe there both 20db

evolutions have a fairly high output. not the hottest dimarzio makes, but no slouch. check out www.dimarzio.com , they have a pdf catalogue you can download, it has the specs for all their pickups, including their output in miliamps.

Milivolts, not miliamps. Current would be irrelevant with passive pickups since they're pretty high impedance and require a HiZ input anyway. What we're interested in is tension (voltage).

And it's better to keep the graph in mind, a midrange-dominated pickup would be saturating an amp more than say a PAF, even if they're similar output, since most of the instrument's content is midrange.

While we're at it, NEVER EVER scoop the mids on your amp. It sounds awful and it doesn't cut thru a band -the drummer and the bassist create a wall of sound, you create another wall of sound and in the end of the day, someone's getting drowned out. Don't create a wall of sound, be the voice of your band.
