Get ready for an unforgettable night at the legendary Whisky a Go Go. Verona On Venus and Faith No Gwar, the electrifying new Gwar and Faint No More cover band founded by Piggy D. (Rob Zombie/Marilyn Manson) and the members of thrash band The Lords Of Sin are set to make their highly anticipated live debuts with a co-headlining show on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Find tickets at ticktweb.com.

This milestone performance will introduce audiences to both bands for the first time, delivering high-energy sets filled with raw power, theatrical intensity, and a celebration of music’s most fearless sounds. Verona On Venus will bring their signature heavy, melodic style to the stage, alongside the unrelenting chaos of FNG’s tribute to the legendary acts that inspired them.

“Many years ago I wrote a satirical/musical short that I wanted to produce about a working class garage band that uses this specific music to vent their daily frustrations about slugging it out in modern society”, says Piggy D. “This show will be the raw live performance of that fictional band. It’s quite far from being an actual tribute or cover band. Instead, I call it a ‘musical repurposing.’ In today’s climate, it’s a renewed excuse to rock out and have a laugh at how ridiculous and bizarre life is.

“Our gig is also during ‘June Gloom’, which is a really good time for cupcakes and birthday hats. You should come. This is the most insane art project I’ve ever attempted and we will debut it at a special one-night-only event at the Whisky.”

FNG is a chaotic fusion of grease, rage, and absurdity, a band of disgruntled clown car mechanics who channel their working-class frustrations through blistering covers and twisted reinterpretations of Faith No More and GWAR anthems. Clad in oil-stained overalls and smeared clown paint, they transform shop-floor grievances into cathartic, theatrical performances, welding satire and aggression into every riff.

Their sound is a manic collision of metal, punk, and unhinged circus energy—an explosive middle finger to the soul-crushing grind of modern labor. When the engine won’t start, the boss won’t pay, and the world feels like a rigged joke, FNG turns it into a war cry.

FNG consists of the Compton-based thrash band The Lords Of Sin as well as Matt “Piggy D.” Montgomery reprising his ‘Giggles The Clown’ persona on lead vocals. Montgomery is known for his work with Rob Zombie, Wednesday 13, Amen, Alice Cooper and most recently Marilyn Manson.

Verona On Venus, the band founded in late 2023 by Mike Spreitzer, former guitarist for DevilDriver, is set to make their highly anticipated debut following a wave of excitement surrounding the recent lineup announcements and the release of the single and music video “Pretty”. Verona On Venus is ready to take the stage and showcase their explosive sound in a night of unforgettable music. Verona On Venus has also welcomed its latest band member, Travis Bacon (Contracult) on bass, rounding out the lineup alongside Austin D’Amond (drums), and Lucas Kanopa (guitar).

“This band has been a long time in the making, and we’re finally stepping into the spotlight with a show of this magnitude,” says Spreitzer. “Whisky a Go Go has been home to so many legendary moments in rock and metal history, and we can’t wait to add our own chapter to that story.”

Verona On Venus will perform tracks from the debut album ‘Popular Delusions’ including singles, “Pretty” and “War Baby”. Popular Delusions, released in January 2024, has garnered attention for its distinctive blend of heavy melodic metal and industrial-inspired sounds. The project marks Spreitzer’s transition from his role as lead guitarist of DevilDriver to frontman, showcasing his vocal prowess and songwriting abilities.

Additional bands will be announced soon, rounding out a night that promises to be one of the most explosive events of the summer.
