In My Kingdom Cold
I am listening to this album right now for the umpteenth time. In my opinion, this is the best album I have ever heard. Discuss this album.

Man, its been decades since I heard the Wall in its entirety. Good stuff but somehow I liked Dark Side the best, always. Probably because it was the first I heard and it so blew me away.

I always found Pink Floyd totally pretentious and always overdid their music. I think the only albums worth listening to from them is Dark Side Of The Moon and Animals.

Animals I cant get into much. Pink Floyd was far from pretentious they were in fact very minimalistic in their day. They always let the music breath just the right amount with lots of expression.

Pretentious is a word only used by those challenged by depth. There is such a thing as pushing minimalism clear into the realm of comatose

I listen to The Wall the least and Animals the most. Lately I've been hooked on their DVD Live in Pompeii. They open with Echoes and it's one of the best songs and recordings I've ever seen.

The Wall is awesome in its entirety. I put it on once or twice a year and just let it go.

That said I need to get them on CD too, I'd start with DSOTM and WYWH...... unfortunately I did buy Animals (under advise) last year and cant get into it. During the late 70's there was 5 of us living in one house so none of us bought the same albums. One guy lived and breathed Floyd so I heard plenty of it and didnt need to purchase. Seems alot of The Wall still gets regular FM radio play on the ..... [oh my, please forgive me, Im going to say that cursed word]...... classic rock radio Shit! now I need to go take a shower and wash the filth off...........

The Wall is great when it's a cold night and you don't feel like going out to a bar or something, but you want to have a few drinks and enjoy a quiet night indoors...all while contemplating your sanity.

I need to buy The Wall. I've heard it many many times but not for years. I only own Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here. I also need to get some of their early stuff with Syd Barrett.
