planes mistaken for stars

any fans of this band?

their earlier stuff is more mellow, but their most recent stuff is some of the best melodic metal / hardcore ive heard. they've gotten progressively darker and dirtier every year.

the guy has this really fucked up (but cool) singing voice, and when he screams it sounds like the wrath of god.

i saw them with dillinger escape plan and they totally stole the show

check out the bottom two songs "leaning the room", and 'rhythm dies" at www.mp3.com/pmfs

you probably wont like the first four because they are kinda wimpy, but whatever. the last song fucking kills and is their most recent posted.

their latest two cds "fuck with fire" and "spearheading the sin movement" are balls.

needs to be shot for the protection of the generla public and although in flame like to dress like twats at this they play all their own instruments unlike turni brakes which is two ex male models strumming acuostic guitars and singing when their tracks contain bass drum and one layer of acoustic guitar

GYBE specialise in 15 min long driges with only a few notes in. their not as bad as the ataris or new found glory though give me today is the day and Immortal over them any day

Some of their earlier stuff gets thrown into the "emo" category, but that stuff came out 4 years ago.

Listen to the last song on that page, Rhythm Dies, and tell me with a straight face that if you never heard that song before, you'd think you were listening to an emo band.

I saw those guys open for fata/thursday awhile back. Very cool stuff, I thought since they were on deep elm they'd be emo, but thats not the case.

I don't think it's underestimating when I go to mp3.com and listen to the song you say to listen to... and still think that it's very lame hardcore.
