Hey, do any of you guitarrists/bassists play on online programs such as paltalk, livve, or yahoo? It would be cool to hear what some of you can do. I'm up for it anytime, just send me a message on AIM sn "Opeth Ethereal."

I don't think my dial-up connection would allow it.
Cool idea, nonetheless...

Perhaps I could record a sampe of my style and upload it somewhere?

p.s. I'm not a real shredhead, I lean more to a Roland Grapow(Masterplan)'s type of palying. I'm also getting the feel that I am the only musician of that type here.

p.s.p.s. Masterplan RULES!!! :)

Roland Grapow is one of my guitar heroes.
He played with Helloween from Pink Bubbles Go Ape to The Dark Ride after which he and Uli Kusch got fired. The rest of Helloween didn't like their musical direction.
So Uli and Roland got serious on Masterplan, which was a project already being worked on.
The original singer should have been R. Allen but he refused leaving SX (and Roland told him "Well fine, but we'll be making more money than you! *laughs*")and so they picked Jorn Lande (ARK, solo albums). Just as much of an amazing singer, BTW.
Their music is Prog/Power metal leaning more towards Power (where SX lean more towards prog).
Now go to kazaa.
"Into The Light", "Enlighten Me" and "Kind Hearted Light" are good ones to listen to.
Then you go to the store coz' you no longer have an excuse for not owning their album!!!

*grin*

I don't support Kazaa. By what I've heard, it's not very wormproof. I use direct connect instead.

I'll try to look into it. Right now I'm trying to get a hold of Opeth.

I occasionally play online these days. When I do, I'm on yahoo messenger. lespauldude2001 or dimarzios_suck is my name there.

I tried Paltalk in the past, but I just couldn't get the damn thing to work. No biggie. I still have my yahoo

I know what you mean man. Around this time two years ago, yahoo was crawling with shredders. They have since parted ways.

It's a shame really. :(

I did briefly see a good shredder friend of mine a few days ago. Glad to know he's still alive. :D
