According to The Blast, POISON singer Rikki Rockett has filed a lawsuit against a construction company that he says been handling the remodeling of his Los Angeles-area home. Rikki, whose real name is Richard Allan Ream, claims he hired the company in May 2018. A short time later, the company started on the project but, to date, still has not completed the work. He alleges they have "failed to perform and to complete the services," performed "substandard" work in violation of building codes, subtracted work using "unqualified and uninsured workers," caused numerous delays, and incurred excessive cost overruns. In the lawsuit, Rockett claims he has suffered "significant loss of property" and financial losses. He is suing for breach of contract, fraud, and defamation and is seeking unspecified damages. Three years ago, Rockett sold his home in Southern California for $1.05 million. Rikki bought the five-acre property — which boasted a 3,794-square-foot house in the Castaic area of northern Los Angeles — in 2011 for $665,000. Back in 2017, Rikki finalized his divorce from singer/songwriter Melanie Martel. The 57-year-old rocker and his ex-wife, who had a prenuptial agreement, share joint custody of their two kids — 10-year-old son Jude Aaron Rockett and 6-year-old daughter Lucy Sky Rockett. Rockett was declared cancer free in 2016 after undergoing an experimental treatment. He was diagnosed with oral cancer back in 2015.
