Geez, it seems like for every excellent death metal cd that comes across my desk for review, there are 5 subpar ones close behind. Unfortunately, Philadelphia's POLTERCHRIST falls into a batch of 5. This drummer's blast beats are annoying and their execution severely hinders the band's appeal. Team that up with what has to be one of the worst album covers to see the light of day in some time, and you've got a death metal dud. It could be worse, but it could be a whole lot better.
ROTTING CHRIST, PANZERCHRIST, POLTERCHRIST....
Christ already, enough is enough.
