i know a lot of people who hate it but i've been a fan of screeching weasel, the queers, the ramones, operation ivy and rancid for years now. any other fans of the genre or any band reccommendations? i'm mostly into old school

The Lawrence Arms and Dillinger 4 are the best you'll find.

Check out Oh! Calcutta! and Midwestern Songs Of The Americas.

speaking of lawrence in arms, i gotta reccommend slapstick. i think it's mostly same band lineup but they're totally old school ska punk

one thing we have in common, i bet you have greasy black hair and 1000 pictures of gerard way in your huge bedroom in the suburbs

Yeah, thanks for telling me about myself. Go be a faggot on another board, where there are more stupid and close minded individuals for you to make friends with.

Man screaching weasel and the queers were good punk bands. And I recommend NOFX they had kind of poppy choruses in their songs and another good band was Face To Face and Hagfish from texas. Check out a band thats reuniting this year from Indianapolis called Sloppy Seconds they play like party style punk rock that is highly entertaining.

Pop-Punk really covers a massive spectrum of bands. I like some of them, for sure.

The Offpring, as someone mentioned, and NOFX are both great bands. I don't mind a few others either.

I heartily recommend this album to anyone who doesn't have it:

Pop Punk perfection IMO.

pop punk is just another word for emo IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!! the only band you have mentioned with any artistic skills is the ramones.
No offense but if you listen to the Ramones now you can say they were the pop punk originators... their first album is kind of poppish... for it's time no, but for now yes... but none the less they rule for all time... and the statement you posted makes you a idiot... no offense... :p Anyways peeps here might like Bad Religion, Pennywise, and other bands on the Epitaph label...
