I hope they dont update the graphics engine tho cos my computer can barely play the current one (128mb graphics card FTL).

Seems pretty updated to me.

Watching the gameplay videos seems like it's going to be more difficult and complex and rely more to reflexes...I'm not sure that's a good thing. I'm sure it will kick ass though. I just wish that they would release some news about half life ...

Not to me.
Not many new shaders at all.. its the amount of detailing put in to the leveldesign that makes the differences.
Apart from the goo(Which relies more on your CPU then GPU.).

Anyways, getting a new gfx that will be able to handle this without any problems wont cost you more then 100$ used.
Im more worried about Crysis 2... looks way to epic for my rig. :(

I want it to be harder, but maybe not more based on reflexes.
I thought Portal was a great concept, but the game it self was WAY to easy.

Yeh, looks pretty much the same but more detailed to me. Unfortunately I have a laptop so I can't replace the gfx card, otherwise I would have a long time ago.

Agree that it shouldn't be based on reflexes. Even Portal1 there were a few times were it was really frustrating because you had to find the right spot to shoot while mid-air while being flipped horizontally and vertically.. I hope its not all like that.

Looking foward to this game. I loved the first one and Glados is such a wonderful villain. I liked the difficult level of the first one. Wasn´t frustrating and I could finninsh it in less than 3 hours on my first playthrough. If you want more challenge there´s always the harder puzzles option and I think it should stay that way.

I think it looks far better than the first....

I think I remember reading for the first game that they had trouble with the graphics detail because of the portals. Being able to shoot portals anywhere allowed for some graphic "loops" (seeing the same room over and over through a portal) and required a lot of processing power so they had to cut back on the details.

Valve is not capable of making a bad game.

Portal was one of the best games I've ever played, and I'm REALLY looking forward to the sequel......but I wish they'd release HL2Ep3 or HL3.

.. if you make the puzzles harder, it wouldnt be more frustrating.
What would make it more frustrating would be having all those things relying on timing, you know.. you might know what to do, but you try and try for 20 minutes without any success, THAT will tick you off.
Personally, i dont have any problems with using my brain to solve more challenging puzzles.

And the advanced mode didnt really bring me anything enjoyable.. the same maps, just with fewer portals, less time or the least amount of footsteps(*sigh*).
