possible tour mates for next year??

I'd love it if Anthrax never recorded again without
Joey Belladonna and Danny Spitz. Anthrax isn't as good
a choice as Soilwork. To fit in with Test and the Haunted.

Testament and Anthrax would knock out two of my favorite bands I've never seen.

But a Testament and Killswitch Engage, God Forbid or Shadows Fall tour would be slayfull.

don't get me wrong, I think it would be in their best interests to bring one of the newer style bands like KsE or god forbid or shadow's fall along with the haunted and
then you would have an awesome 4 band lineup which seems to be the norm in order for promoters to make money at shows these days.

I'd like to see Darkane get some big tour slot, they're better than most bands from my homeland, but they don't get the recognition and tours like for example Soilwork get.

And I hope Testament keeps it to 1 support act, I hate to have to sit through 4 bands, when neither gets the soundcheck or set time they deserve to showcase their music.

but 4 band lineups bring in more people. if you bring in a bunch of bands, especially in the US where kids will not go out to support the scene at every metal show, it helps to bring in a bunch of bands. I like it in a way as although I like long sets, short sets give bands less bs time. they have to focus and give us killer music.

Joey Belladonna MADE that band as a vocalist. It certainly
was not Neil Turbin and with John Bush doing vocals most
people don't even know Anthrax is still around. That's WAAAAY
EMBARRASSING!!!!!! Esp, since John did good work with
Armored Saint.
You've got to be one of those "Strange" fans who thinks
John Bush is better than Joey Belladonna?
To see Anthrax with Joey and Danny live was a huge thing.
Let me ask you and please answer me,
Have you ever seen Anthrax with Joey Live?

I saw joey live with anthrax 20 times and with john 22 times. I am not some young kid of the block. Joey sucked! I love anthrax but the only thing holding them back was joey's vocals. Don't blame them not filling up 20000 seat auditoriums on john's era. Kids won't have anything to do with most of the old time thrash acts. Bands like anthrax, and testament as much as I hate to admit it have to get on fests like ozzfest, or tour with some modern acts in between their own headlining tours to pick up the young fans. They wouldn't be doing anybetter with joey the way they are touring these days. If you think differently, you are on some good medication. I will say that I miss that religious freak Danny although Rob is finally giving them back some good lead action.

AMEN!!! Bella-fag was horrid!!! BAD, SUCKED, HORRIBLE, CRAP, ETC ETC. Obviously those "type" of vocals were all the rage back in those days, but he couldn't pull it off in the least! Great aggressive music with a pitiful frontman, PERIOD! My god he was awful! The music was and still is fantastic, but the total package NEVER was what it could have been if he hadn't ruined it so completely. There's alot of room for debate on most every metal issue, but this nugget ain't one of 'em! dnr

I'm a huge Anthrax fan.
But Belladonna did hold them back. He was very appropriate to the band when he was in it, tho. I feel like they did as much with him as he was capable of. Not to mention most bands were moving away from the high vocals. That doesn't mean that John Bush is better. I think when he was new, more folks were just excited to hear a different voice for Anthrax. Now that's worn off. The more he's done with them, the more it's apparent that he doesn't have any attitude or aggression when he sings. I think a plain screamer might even be a better choice for them. Scott's screaming (while it has very little range) has more attitude than Bush at his best.

New ANTHRAX, bores me, I don't think its Bush's singing, it's just the music they write.................I've never been into them since Joey left......I like Armored Saint better than new Anthrax........So I don't think they would be a good match-up with Testament on a tour............Now as for old classic Anthrax with Joey, I could go for them to tour with Testament as long as they played only material that was pre-Bush..................One of my first tours I ever went on was back in 87-88(Amoung The living US leg)..............now thats when they were in their prime & thats my favorite Album also............................................
I was also on The Headbangers Ball Tour(State Of Euphoria Tour)............and well their live performance was always great(sometimes their sound sucked)......I think their albums were starting to decline...........But Bush was not the answer.........And I still think their better than most East Coast bands(Thrash Bands), even with Bush.............................everyone's got an opinion................:) :)
